Breaks compatibility
  • The Dark Zone line now stands in the world - you see it as you walk up to it, not only on a map.
  • A reapers tab: put yourself forward, back somebody, see who sits.
  • A reaper reads the hunt - who is marked, what they owe and which chunk they are in while the mark is hot.
  • Judges and reapers are named in the chat and in the player list. Over a head, only a renegade is.
  • Update your client. An old one will not get in.

The client has to be updatedThis release changed the pack, and a client older than it is turned away at the door. Update the pack in the launcher before you next join.

The line in the world

  • It stands on the Safe Zone side looking out: you meet it before you cross rather than after.
  • It comes up on its own as you approach, the way a closed border does and at the same distances. It is visible from inside the Dark Zone too: somebody already there wants to know where the way back is.
  • Red, like a closed border. That is one warning said twice: past either line what you do has a consequence it would not have on open ground. The key names both in words.

Reapers

  • A fourth tab in the court section: the same roll, the same ballot, three seats instead of seven.
  • Whoever sits reads the hunt at the head of it: a name, a debt and a chunk. A chunk, not a position.
  • An operator can seat a reaper by command, the way they can a judge - for a server with nobody to back yet.

Names

  • A renegade is red, a reaper dark aqua, a judge gold - and every one carries a word, because colour is never the only cue here.
  • Over a head, only a renegade is written. A name floating over somebody is read in a hurry, and the only thing that changes what you do in that second is the mark. An office is not an alarm.
  • You can be two at once: a judge can be a renegade, because a mark is not a conviction. Both are written, the warning first.
