- Gear from Dark Zone boxes and bosses now comes out contaminated: it works, but it poisons you until it is cleaned.
- A new Create machine, the Decontamination Chamber, cleans contaminated items and spoiled food, six slots at a time.
- Food you carry spoils in the Dark Zone's open air; packed in a shulker box, it stays fresh.
- Whoever carries contaminated items wears a yellow bag on the hip, and a new sign beside the hotbar counts them.
- Update the pack: an older client can no longer join.
01Contaminated items
- Weapons, ammunition, armour, tools, shields, potions and enchanted books from boxes and bosses in the Dark Zone are contaminated; raw materials stay clean.
- A contaminated item held or worn poisons you, more the deeper it came from. In your inventory it poisons a little, and much more past nine stacks.
- Anything crafted, forged or smelted from a contaminated item stays contaminated. The market does not take them; consignment does.
- A yellow corner on the slot and a line in the tooltip show what is contaminated and from which layer.
02The Decontamination Chamber
- Turned by a shaft from below, it uses water and the filter an air scrubber needs at the item's layer.
- Its window shows six slots in, six out, the water, the filters, the progress and what it is waiting for.
- It works anywhere in the Safe Zone. In the Dark Zone it works only in a room with clean air, and burns twice the filters there.
03Food in the Dark Zone
- Food you carry spoils after about forty minutes of open air in the Rose, and after three in the Heart.
- Spoiled food poisons whoever eats it. The chamber cleans it too.
04Smaller things
- The guide has a new page, Contaminated items, and the quest book a quest for the chamber.
- Combat Roll's charges moved to the bottom-right corner and show only while recharging, so they no longer cover the signs beside the hotbar.
