Compatibility changes

Update the modpack before joiningThis release requires a newer modpack. Update your installed pack in the launcher before joining again.

  • The world is made again for a week of testing: a new map, with new dungeons and bosses in every layer of the Dark Zone.
  • Talmora now has drowned cities, spires and wrecks on its floor, a leviathan, a kraken and creatures of the deep.
  • The same building no longer stands every few hundred blocks: structures are spread out and varied in every layer.
  • The Safe Zone has fewer villages, no monster lairs, and no ore lying in the grass.
  • Update the pack: an older client can no longer join.

Bosses and dungeons in the Dark Zone

  • The Rose and Maria hold graveyards, crypts, raiders' forts, old mines and the Lich.
  • The Ash holds the Infernal Dragon's tower, forges, labyrinths and machine halls.
  • The Hush holds Maledictus's frosted prison, the Yeti's hideout, draugr spires and the pirates of the frozen coast.
  • Talmora holds the Leviathan's sunken city, the Kraken's ship, drowned spires and wrecks on the floor.
  • Xendar holds Scylla's acropolis and a raiders' airship among islands you can now see from the ground.
  • The Heart holds the Harbinger's factory, the Lich's tower and the Underworld Knight's arena.

A world worth exploring

  • No structure repeats in a line any more, and two structures no longer stand inside each other in the Dark Zone.
  • Every layer now has its own structures, and none of them strays into the next layer.
  • The new monsters live only in the Dark Zone, each in the layer whose world it belongs to.

The Safe Zone

  • Villages stand at least 256 blocks apart, and other buildings at least 192.
  • Taverns, farmhouses and villages no longer hide raiders, witches or spawners.
  • Boulders on the plains are plain cobblestone, and coal, iron and copper no longer show on the surface.

Arms

  • Weapons, armour and trinkets with magical powers are never found, dropped or crafted.
  • The Infernal Forge still strikes the ground around you, but no longer sets it on fire.
